Another thing with these horses I am selecting today, is that I would have been backing them if I wasn’t doing this experiment. I am just trying to see what works better.

Tried Manwell in 2:40 race, backed at 3.5, aiming for 40% this time so need it to hit 2.5 in running.

Yes, Micky, I realise that but I think this is different. I am not making the decision to back or lay in running, so delayed pictures don’t affect what I am doing. I am setting up the trade before the race starts, what led me to do this is that a lot of my horses were running well without winning so I thought it might be a idea to set the trade to ensure I make a profit if my runners hit a shorter price in running.

That was a hopeless selection, maybe not a good idea to be playing with big priced runners in non handicaps.

Yes he was close to the other two, but I hadn’t even considered the outsider and he won like a 1/10 shot.

Good luck, Joe. I agree with the trainer, although he needs to improve on the ratings but he has had less hurdle races than other two so could easily improve enough especially as this galloping track should suit (won 4 from 4 on the flat on galloping tracks).

Archimedes lost his jockey at the start, I feel bad for anyone who backed it.

I decided to leave Archimedes, so it will probably go and win now.

6:45 Chelmsford - Pearl Acclaim, won for us last time at Southwell, but is 0 from 11 on polytrack (has placed 5 times on it though)

I won’t be backing Tavener, and undecided about Pearl Acclaim

I posted about it this morning Joe, had started at 25/1. I think it does have each way chance but the value is long gone.
