Yes, I see, Dee Sprinter from that Naas race also won earlier today at 18/1. It was tight decision for me between the winner and the one I backed, draw stats were against the winner (only 1 winner from the two inside stalls from 36 races this year with same field size at the distance) and that put me off.

It turned out to be a bad race for me as I had laid Dharma Rain for a place, it had no chance at the time of incident. I was annoyed but have had time to calm down and just put it down to bad luck. But it doesn’t take away from how farcical it was. I have seen the replay, and you can clearly see groundsmen with signs in middle of track not a long distance away from the hurdle. So I don’t blame the jockeys as I think they did the right thing to avoid possible injury to the men, as it would have been difficult to judge the distance in poor visibility, even Jack Tudor, jockey of Dharma Rain, initially goes left to go around but as he was last he had more time to decide and straightened the horse to jump the hurdle. What would have happened if he too had gone around? It would have been a void race?

Among all this, I can’t find any mention of condition of injured horse Bluebell Sally in any reports, I hope she was ok.

Oh God, what a joke. The horse that is tailed off last is going to be declared the winner as all others took the wrong course.

Happy birthday, Rodeo, have a good one.

    Good work, Joe.

Thanks everyone. Got about £600 back on the bet plus also had singles on the first 3. Would have been nice to get all 6 but Haafapiece ran well too, just the winner was too good. But it’s a nice enough Diwali gift for me, so happy with the day. Good to know some of you backed them too.

Thanks guys. No, not going to cash out as what I am being offered is not good value. Being offered a total of £199 (my stake was £44), but I am already guaranteed £148. It will be a minimum of £644 if last one wins and £168 if it comes 2nd or 3rd. I know horses are not machines but if he runs to same level as last time then he has to go very close from same draw as last time. I expect a tight finish, so won’t be bolting in lol. Not cashing out, but I might put in a lay in running at around 6/4.

    Well done, Mole.

Thanks guys. Haafapiece travelled up well (1.56 in running) but didn’t find as much as looked likely. Still being offered nearly 4 times my stake, but next one is the nap so I am leaving it for now.

Typical, narrowly missed out on 7th place. Was right about the favourite who again made bad mistakes. The winner looked good.

No good, Zarrar only got as short as 3.4. Market was spot on about the favourite,
  • 3:15 Taunton
Haha Donb, good luck with it.

Have to say, the exchange market is strongly speaking in favour of the favourite with nothing being backed against it. So I will definitely be trying to trade out Zarrar even if he goes 2.5 in running.
