    Thanks Doubler, Ribot, Calvert.

Big drift to SP of 85/40, I don't usually expect them to win when they drift this much but pleased to be proved wrong this time as Minella Blueway won by 11 lengths. Profit of 2.125 pts at best odds.

Probably best not to get carried away with winning margin though, as mentioned earlier this looked weaker than previous runnings of the race and 3rd likely needed the run. For context this is the lowest rated winner (from those who had an OR) of race. The owner had Champagne Rhythm (OR 127) beaten by one of Nicholls in this race three years ago, that one went on to win just one race and now rated below 100. Minella probably will turn out to be bit better than that as he won but is likely to face stronger opposition than this in future.

Ran a good race but beaten by the one I highlighted as main danger, didn't do the forecast unfortunately. So just a profit of 1.1 pts.

    Thanks Ribot.

Migdam was towards the back most of the way and eventually finished 5th, they all decided to make it easy for Freescape by staying too far back. A bit annoying considering the winner was behind my selection last time, but what can you do.

No bet today, mainly because I am not feeling the confidence to pick the right one presently.

The race I had looked at today was the Tommy Whittle Chase (1:30 Haydock), 3 of these ran in race here last month - Famous Bridge (1st), Credo (2nd), Eleanor Bob (4th), winner has gone up 6 lbs, the runner up 3 lbs and 4th stayed on same mark. It makes it very tight between the three of them on revised terms. If I was to bet, I would have let the price decide for me and gone for Credo as it's the biggest price of 3 and all three of them appear to have a similar chance. In the past, 9 runners from that race have run in this race on next start with 2 of the 9 winning (10/3 & 14/1) and two others placing.

Bill Baxter ran in the Hennessy last time, but Hennessey runners don't have a good record in this with none winning and only 2 of the 6 placing despite 3 of them going off favourite for this.

    Thanks Ribot.

Masala Chai's (20/1 SP) run wasn't without promise, she seemed to be travelling very well when briefly hitting the front, but faded badly late on to drop to 7th. Brionywells was always towards the back. Money was right for the favourite, winning like a nice horse.

Unlucky Ribot, but well done on place double.

Good luck Ribot. I liked Weloof, but having missed the early price I decided to leave it alone, hope he wins for you though.

I can never get Mullins right, his other one Asian Master wins after getting backed at the last minute. It had been on my shortlist but after it had drifted to 18/1 earlier, I didn't think it was going to be today. Been a very poor week for me.
