2 points bet loses balance is now +2pts (less 2pts- loser deducted)
3 points bet wins evens profit is +3pts balance is now +5pts
So at the end of the week the profit is 5 points which is paid at the agreed amount per point!

They'd added another £10 to the sum, so I cashed out, then stuck £20 0n Maximum Power at 15/8. You have to be sensible sometimes. If it wins I'll only have half of what I would have got, but if it loses then a lot more.

Thing is, I really fancy Maximum Power, and it's shortening......nah, think I'll take the dosh, stick £40 on it, then......nah, I'll still only get half of what I would if I just let the bet run on!..Er....

No luck today. Thought it was a very poor ride. Hard held at first, never got going till 2 furlongs out when the race was all but over, and had no turn of foot. This horse evidently needs to be kept up there at a good steady gallop, and given the office a long way out, otherwise it'll never win anything.
