Dunno what happened there. Seemed promising at first, started well, stayed up in the first 3 for 2 or 3 furlongs, but then suddenly all the wind went out of its sails, and it was being bumped along.

Makambe was one of the two Barking Dog tips last Saturday (both u/p). Seeing as it was fancied then, I think I'll have a lil e/w interest in this follow-up run.

Luke Morris rides for M.J. Attwater. Currently only a couple of blue patches -14s -on Oddschecker, and I've just seen one other 14s drift to 16s. But I'm taking no chances and have gone for the 16s. It might drift though.

Think the main danger is Roy's Legacy. Won this last year and on a handy mark.

Looked to be making promising moves once or twice but never really in it and faded right out of it well before the finish.

Lacan never seemed to have all that much in the tank. Ran on in last furlong, but others overtook before he could even get 3rd. Finished 5th or 6th I think.

Just looked like a furlong too far to me. Still, can't win 'em all.

I got 6s just after 7a.m. Betfred only do BOG on the day, starting 7a.m.

I see it's been cut into 4/1 second fav now, and is 7/2 on Betfair exchange.

That initial 8/1 last night looks a bargain now.

We'll see if the money is justified.

Got a 3rd at 40/1 in the 2.20, and a 3rd at 22/1 (SP 14s) in the Kempton 8.0, and a 3/1 winner plus 7/2 2nd in the first L15, but basically it was rubbish!

Nvm, only small stakes, and I had a highly profitable day thanks to the Barking Dog!
