Rolling Maul would be a bet if the distance was less than 3 miles (Steve J's famous h'cap topweight system for races less than 3 miles on tight tracks). Still might win though - last win was impressive. Price now 11/2, cut in.

All my shorties went in, treble up. The only one that let me down was Courageux, 3rd 7/2, which I'd picked as my steamer of choice. Slowly away, hard to get going, and poor steering from the jock in final 2 furlongs didn't help. Still, not a bad result overall.
