The ratings range from -7 to +6? Not sure why one would want to back a horse which seems to have negative ratings, but maybe that's not what the ratings really mean.

i like it when there are just 5 or 6 races covered, more manageable bets but still the chance of a big payout.

Profit on my picks (got a double up on the 5* picks) more than covered loss on yours. One of us should do well enough each week to provide profit overall, and if not then we'll at least do it over a month.

I live for the doubles and trebles. A win double means at least profit on the day, usually good profit. A treble means massive profit. Then 4 winners up from one of our separate sets of bets means a return of at least £500-£1,000 even to just 5p doubles and trebles. Smaller returns, a few or many placers, keep the pot bubbling and can even give good profit on the day as it did for me the other day. That's the way I look at it.
