What's interesting about the 6.58 at Haydock is the 5 non-runners have contested a total of 28 races on the all-weather with only one win between them. I'm assuming the withdrawals today are due to not enough give in the ground. So, what was the purpose of the all-weather races on a sounder surface?, other than to get or keep fit, the horses concerned, with no probability of winning.
