No good, only 8th. Had the right idea to oppose the short priced favourite who was only 10th, winner was also on my shortlist but had 6 horses on my shortlist and couldn’t back them all.

Was just about to post the same. I remember many years ago now when he parted company with Godolphin, many people were suggesting he was finished, how wrong they were.

Great selection, he was gaining on the winner with every stride, unlucky but nice placer.

4 previous winners of the conditions race at Ascot that Ventura Rebel won have gone on to run in Norfolk Stakes, although none of them won 3 of the 4 ran well, Zebedee (5th of 12), Log Out Island (2nd of 10), Frozen Angel (4th of 17), so hopefully he will be thereabouts, although Ventura Rebel’s time was about 0.7 secs slower than both Log Out Island and Frozen Angel on similar going.

I have had 5 winners (4 favs & Silkstone) and a 3rd at Doncaster today, didn’t put a penny on them. I have to console myself with the placepot which should pay just under £20 I think, I have it for a fiver. Kicking myself for not doing multiples.

Good luck mate. Looks bit of a favourites day at Doncaster today, but not all will win. I think Hammer Gun in the first can go well trying for his 3rd win at the track, he still looks on a good mark on turf compared to all weather. Lightning Attack and Silkstone for me in 5:00, slightly preferring the latter.
