Good luck. I backed this one last time, ran ok, has been dropped almost a stone since changing stables 2 months ago, so yeah the handicapper has definitely given him a chance.

I was originally considering Carpet Time for this race, but he is a big drifter and with David Barron you want to see them being gambled and not drifting, so I might just follow you with Always Amazing.

Doesn’t find winning easy and hasn’t won for quite a while, but positive is that Hanlon has a very good record in handicap hurdles at Punchestown especially when he uses conditional jockeys. His record with conditionals in handicap hurdles here is 5 from 20 (+43 LSP) with 4 others placed and only 6 of the 20 finishing out of first 6. This jockey has had just two rides for him and had a 25/1 winner. Good luck.

Griffiths had the 1-2 in 1:25 race last year, but I haven’t yet decided whether I will back Ornate tomorrow, probably see how they price it up first.

My one came 4th, so only a small loss on the race.
