Thanks everyone, and thanks Bonzo for kind comments. Feeling quite good about my selections at the moment, but there were times earlier in the year when I was really struggling. It’s one of those things, when you go through a losing run you start changing things and nothing seems to work, but when you get on a good run the confidence grows, so hoping that the luck continues for a bit longer this time. Yesterday, I had picked out Ivadream at Wolverhampton (won at 15/2), but got so busy with other things that not only I couldn’t post on here I also forgot to back it myself, was gutted about that but today’s winner made up a bit for it.

Sixties Secret won @ 17/2, so nearly got a massive forecast too with Flying Focus (16/1) narrowly missing out on 2nd place. Got it right about how most of the runners will run which is always a satisfying feeling.

Unlucky, Stevie, but hope you did a single on Sixties Secret, nice winner.

Good luck, Stevie, I remember Cherry Cola ran well last time. Wishing Marc Goldstein a speedy recovery.

Sixties Secret is also my main selection today, so fingers crossed.

No good. Kos seemed to be running ok for some way, made a mistake late on but my guess is that he also didn’t stay the trip as he weakened right out of it in last half mile. Other one, Scullys Dream was gambled down to 11/2 and ran much better and only got caught at the finish, but I did that one win only.

Thanks guys, pleased to give a winner. It makes it worth the hours spent on a race when it works out like this.

Ewart stable must have landed a right touch, two gambles in a day - 28/1 backed to 7/1 and this one from 14/1 into 11/2.

Thanks guys, and good luck with Skiddaw Valley, Bonzo.

James Ewart has just won the 4:10 race with one that was backed from 28/1 down to 7/1, probably not a good sign for my one unless they have done doubles.
  • Pat Smullen RIP
Very sad, no age to go. RIP.
  • 810 kempton
    Brilliant, Joe, very well done.

Good luck Joe. I like Cashel in this, has gone close off similar marks here before but over a mile. Not sure if drop to 7 is a positive or negative, but eye catching jockey booking of Oisin Murphy. I haven’t backed it though as price is too short to back each way and not confident enough about the win. I hope your one wins.

Money spoke strongly in favour of the winner, Emissary. I got most of my stake back through the forecast but not all as I didn’t anticipate that Emissary will shorten so much. Bit frustrating really.
