Agreed, Joe, though a miss is as good as a mile. But it gives hope that the elusive doubles, and even more elusive trebles, may not be too far away.

Betfair SPs: The winner was win 7.75, place 2.77.

The 3 placers were 2.64, 5.8, 14.64.

Peggy's Angel nearly provides the biggest booooom yet on this thread, 2nd at 50/1. That was also the price I got, but 66/1 was available elsewhere.

Hic Bibi gets 3rd at 16s after a bold front-running bid. I got 18s, 20s was available.

E/w singles and win doubles and trebles at 1/4 full singles unit stakes. Because there are so many trebles I've reduced the amount put on singles, which is stupid, but I do not want to spend the rest of my days kicking myself for missing a win treble at these prices.
