    Yes of course seagrove. So when the wheel comes off, then we stop and look for the different angles. :up:

    Oh yes seagrove, I always back them. Not silly stakes but enough to draw a smile on my face. :wink:

    I think there is seagrove. I have been trying this for a while now before posting anything. If you work out the stakes and dutch them but use a common sense approach i.e.

    * good claimer booked..
    * money in the market.
    * low stakes on the journey men/woman and I mean that with total respect to the jockey.

    Then it does pay dividends..

    As a punter I am always searching for an angle outside of the box and this does seem to be a decent angle.

    Half the battle is knowing with a degree of certainly at what race the horse is really being aimed at.

    Just take Royale Pagaille as an example, had two choices, more realistic and preferred choice would be to go against the hugely talent Monkfish, It is now no secret that owner Ricci chose to avoid the clash for the owner reasons and go for the Gold Cup which let's face it, the horse was not ready for based on todays running. In the future yes but not today.

    As a punter, we can only speculate on this but reading between the lines I felt Venetia Williams wanted to go against Monkfish but the owner did not want to. So they threw him out of his depth into the Gold Cup. This decision was made last Sunday.

    Now we do not really know. It could be that they felt the horse has a real chance in the Gold Cup but we now know. :wink:

    However it is a lottery those type of bets and is probably worth a fiver for the fun of the bet in the hope everything drops into place. :up:

    n.b. on the two above.
    Excellent George - a very inexperienced jockey today and the gain for the claim he offered probably cost him. I would have put young Marco with the 5lb claim on if I were Stuart Williams but the young lad needs the experience and rides I guess.

    Show Me A Sunset - hampered very late and no where to go, so a who knows on this one.
