You raise an interesting point, Brian.

Personally, I play the TTC geared towards the current rules.
In order to do well, it makes selecting favorites (especially short priced NAPs)
a necessary pre-requisite. Ever thought of changing the TTC to a level stake return?

This would totally change the contest - likely for the better.
Just a thought.......

not changing anything H4C, how you do your TTC remains the same,
like you I very rarely have odds over 5/1.
it's just that occasionally a member picks an outsider, as in thru the week
4 members picked a 12/1 winner.
would have been great if they had posted it here, not asking anyone to purposly.

I'm taking this opportunity, Brian, to lend support to H4C's comment regarding NAP selections. I believe it would enhance the competition if ALL odds-on winners scored zero points. It would mean players having to be a little more imaginative in their selections!

Certainly opened a can of worms with this one.
Any changes to the TTC would have to be discussed by the regular players

May I suggest a vote?

The only change i would make to the ttc is getting rid of the double points
for the Nap i always select the horse i believe will win as i'm sure most peeps do
and a long odds on shot is surely a starting point - it's only a fun comp so i don't
there's any real need for change - just my opinion
