This system is more about the math than the horse.
Qualifiers are nearly always between 3/1 and 6/1.
The oddsmakers do the work for you. They are sharp.

The icing on the cake is 1/5 odds for a place with 8+ runners.
Prices on the occasional winners outweigh those horses
that run out of the frame (there will be a few of those).
