Only 6 runners but interesting novice hurdle. Longhouse Sale makes his hurdling debut after 4 wins from 4 in bumpers, and he must have a good chance especially as he is getting weight from the two hurdles winners, Skelton had the runner up in this race last year (was also odds on favourite) who is now rated in 130s. But at the prices, I can’t resist a small bet on STATUARIO (10/3) who beat 128-rated Capone by 21 lengths last time, yes he was getting a lot of weight (12 lbs) and runner up didn’t run to his best, but it was still a good performance. Rated in 80s on the flat, there should be more to come from him, also has form here when finishing 3rd of 14 (10 lengths behind 132 rated winner) on hurdling debut in February. Santani also won by a big margin (25 lengths) last time on his hurdling debut, that race didn’t take much winning though, one thing in his favour is that win was over c&d and that is a big advantage around here and he could also improve. So a tricky race, even Weapons Out isn’t completely out of this but winner should come from first 3 in betting, I hope it will be Statuario.
