Jumping was very novicey to begin with clouted the first nearly unseated Slevin. Must have come back with sore shins because he flicked every hurdle except the last 3 hurdles where he showed how he can jump. Easily keep up with the front two despite the jumping. Powered ahead on the run-in.
I'd hope he'd improve for the run and make a huge contribution for the Derham team this season.

Was up against it here but performed admirably. Still on the bridle 3 out but made fiddly mistakes and in the end couldnt match the front 2 but cleared away from the others.
Worth noting in the future to pick up some good races.

Was told to watch the last at Fairyhouse
while the winner was of interest, I was puzzled on why he fell back to last.
Moonverrin - Martin Hassett
the runner-up however travelled oh so sweetly, quickened up well and was ultimately caught inside the final furlong. Looked lost inside the final furlong and the experience should bring her a bit.

Got up by a head at 9/1 last Saturday at Newbury, improving by 6 lengths against the runner-up from their previous outing at Ffos Las. He's been easy in the market his last two runs, and may stay that way. The Challow Hurdle at Newbury is a legitimate target for this fellow - and his price for that race may be okay.

Hard to believe this horse was flat bred by the size of him, making him a stand out in this field. Although beaten 9l by the winner, he showed an abundant amount of ability. Stayed on takingly after the front two got away as he sat mid pack. Jockey also switched him in and out a couple of times which would not have benefitted the big stride. Must go close in another bumper if going that route but would be of great interest to see him over an obstacle.
