The favourite looks short and has to prove effectiveness going downhill and left handed, best form is at Kempton.
Im backing the 2nd fav Spirit of Zebedee who had a wind op in May and has recently started to show improvement. He won a 0-55 at Catterick, Racing Post comments ‘Spirit of Zebedee sauntered into contention and found plenty when sent on’. Got hit with a 6lb rise but went well again at Redcar.
That rise doesn’t apply to his aw rating, so he back to 49 today. Two runs here, both over cd, won a class 6 0-65 off 64 and placed in a class 5. That course form is his best anywhere.
The only negative is the draw, but it’s an apprentice event and he’s got an experienced jockey up
I’ll play ew at 1/4 odds in case the draw does become a problem
