Cheltenham today, with four runners going to post.
1.20 - Al Dancer looks to complete a hat trick having won his two novice hurdles and so two from two over timber. He’s won both these races in good style and looks as if there is more to come. This is his handicap bow and given a mark of 129 looks reasonable so we are expecting a good run and he can go close or better. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
2.30 - Cogry is a regular here and with plenty of course experience including a couple of wins over similar trips, can always be given a chance. A very good second at the October meeting from 135 saw a rise back to a career high of 139, his mark today and last time, when 6th of 15 three weeks ago. Looks good each way value and sure to be thereabouts again. Sam aboard.
3.40 - Goodbye Dancer showed plenty of encouragement when 3rd here last month over the same 3m trip in a class 1 event and from the same mark today, can improve on that run. Another that looks very good each way value, Sam rides.
We also run Wicked Willy in this who went well on his seasonal debut at Newton Abbot a couple of months ago before fading late on over 3m 2+f back over hurdles. He’s down 4lbs here to 122 and with Jordan Nailor claiming 7lbs, looks very capable of getting involved too.
