1:30 - SHESHOON SONNY (15/2) won a bumper nicely on his final start last season, although form of that race hasn’t worked out brilliantly, he did win very well and the 5th horse from the race is now rated 114. Beaten favourite at Stratford last time, but likely to improve for the run and trainer thinks this track will suit better. Up against short priced favourite from Henderson, but I think he will run well.
2:05 - backed another Alan King horse here. GALILEO SILVER (9/1) has a real nice flat pedigree, dam Famous placed at Group 1 and sister to Mastercraftsman. Two of his siblings also rated 100+ on flat, he had just the 4 runs on flat, winning a handicap off 80. It won’t be easy against a couple that already have hurdling experience, but if he jumps well on debut then his flat speed will see he has a chance.
3:15 - KING OF REALMS (7/1, 4 places) is taking a slight drop in class after winning a class 2 at Warwick in March. He is very consistent up to this level, only disappointing runs have come when he has been put in Graded races. Does have to prove his fitness but made his seasonal return at this meeting last two years and ran well both times; finishing 2nd (10/1) in maiden hurdle 2 years ago and winning (4/1) the novice handicap on the Saturday last year, so no reason why he shouldn’t do well again.
