Bet #105 - 5:40 Curragh - Cigamia, Place only bet (4 places @ BSP)

Not expecting Cigamia to win the race as there are a few 3yo s in race that could improve more and O'Briens also have a strong hand, Joseph with the top two in betting. Cigamia is a very consistent filly though, having finished out of places just 3 times in her 11-race career, and I hope she can run well to finish in first 4.

Her 3 unplaced runs have all come at this Group 3 level but only one of these can be described as poor run, she has also placed twice at this level, one of only 3 in this race with placed Group 3 form. She actually finished 1 1/4 lengths ahead of American Sonja last time, who is again favourite today. That was over 7f though, over today's 9f it's possible that form will be turned around so I am not against the favourite as such. Although selection's one poor run did come over 9 1/2 furlongs that was on yielding to soft, today's better going should give her better chance of seeing it out, her brother Glenties is a winner over 11f.

Trainer has had 5 runners in this race previously, although none won 3 of the 5 finished in first 4 including a 14/1, the two that didn't were priced 25/1 & 12/1.

4 to place price is only 4/6 with Sportsbook, but I will expect BSP to be much better than this.
