Thanks, Owenjohn. Ran very well for a long way and I thought he might win, traded as short as 3/1 in running, but tired very quickly and in the end bit fortuitous to finish in 3rd place so happy with the profit made.

Good post and good luck, Owenjohn, win or lose I always look out for your posts, can see a lot of work goes into your selections. Yours does look well handicapped and has form here too, having finished 4 length 3rd from 3 lbs higher and that was after a 4 month break, so with a quick return this time I think he should do better. It’s a very tight handicap though with the whole field covered by a 5 lbs band so I think it’s good idea to go each way. Another runner that is turning up quickly, Amazing Grazing for local trainer Rebecca Bastiman might not be far away either.

Happy enough with 3rd place @ 15/2, but gutted that once again it was the horse I had down as main danger wins. Even more frustrating that I had them in a reverse forecast and the outsider spoiled that right on the line.

Yes the form of especially his last win is very good, it was a competitive handicap and he won it so easily, so yes he has a favourites chance. Obviously I hope mine can beat him but I wouldn’t mind a 2nd or 3rd either.
