I have Inter at 6/1 outright so Im hoping they can cause a shock but City are easily the best team in Europe and barring a meltdown should be good enough to win either in 90 or 120 mins. If it goes to pens then I have a nice bet.

To give everyone a better idea of timings I am looking to close at the end of August which is plenty of time if someone wants to step in and setup an alternative.

Im sure there were some users who had an agenda to wreck the board, but that has nothing to do with it closing. I dont really believe that as a reason for people not posting though, as we havent had any bother on the board for ages and usage has still declined. I have always been happy to run it for the few that choose to use it but my circumstances have changed and it is not a viable proposition any longer.

Pulked up whilst going well and looking the likely winner. Horse damaged its carpel sheath but should recover. Will be out in the field for the summer. Hopefully will make a full recovery. — Stevie Wonder

There is no rush and Im not going to shut down without something being setup to retain the community is that is what people want. To run a forum and customize it you need to be a bit tech savvy but other than that its just the time commitment which might be a issue.

It is an opportunity for someone to take over the in its current form and if they think they can monetize it good luck to them. I would never ask people to pay to use the site and as people are not prepared to enter a P2P contest for £15 then its pretty clear that this isnt viable anyway.

If everyone wanted to stay together then someone either needs to setup a site for free on another platform or you all go and use an existing forum and lobby the owner to set you up with some contests if thats your reason for using this site.
