Tough day to start it with the weather as it was. Haydock suffered a complete deluge early on today and although the ground didn’t look too bad on tv, pretty sure it must’ve been on the poorer side of heavy in the end. Lots of smaller fields today too doesn’t help picking outsiders either.

Good end to the thread with Break of Day and there’ll be easier days to pick a value outsider. Hope we can keep it going and find a “Hippo Saturday” somewhere along the way.

Ultra-competitive mile handicap but the ground should suit Markazi and the 5yo could outrun his odds of 20/1. Looks well treated off 86 on his form lines with Club Wexford and Kings Pavilion, both of whom are much shorter. Won a listed race in France on soft as a 3yo. Cheekpieces also return (used on 4 placed efforts before left off last twice).

Likewise missed it but nice double that!

Both by Sea the Stars too. Heads rolling in the bloodstock team if I was the Sheikh :grin:

Chickenfortea ran again today but stumbled getting away and ended up 5th (probably did too much too early). In my tracker as time must be near.

Stable form worth noting too, previous 4 runners had won before this one today.
